A birthday and anniversary on the same weekend? You're going to have a lot of celebrating to do - have a good one!

I'll bet you had a big snack when you got home then

I'll be at Sunday's game along with about 5,000 kids and parents. I get to stand on the field during the Star Spangled Banner along with my son's baseball team (and every other team that plays in Prospect Park). Be sure to look for me, I'll be with the team that has uniforms that look sort of like the Reds. I'm excited about being in a packed stadium looking at it from an on-the-field perspective.

Sausage and peppers at the game and a midnight snack (and then some) after I got home.
|
Methead Jun 10 2005 10:30 AM |
I love scoring the game... I have a stack of Mets programs with filled-in scorecards from every game I've attended in the past 8 years. That's only a few dozen, but still.

Thanks, Kase. I'm with the kids in red in front of the Geico sign or maybe with the people in red gawking at Pedro. I wasn't wearing red but the kids were.

Not as clever either.

Bought tixx for to-nite's game back in February with the idea we might see the debut of some new Met.
|

Heading out to see the return of Jae Seo. We'll be in Mezz Reserved section 12, rows C&D. Grey away jersey, black custom scorebook, nephew in a Beltran shirt asking me eight million questions and learning to keep score.

Double check on the date, but I am pretty sure it is the 20th.

Just sort of fell into two tickets Row A in the Loge Box behind home plate for tomorrow's game.

Don't jump into the screen. They frown upon that.

I thought that was only Yankee stadium.
|
Edgy DC Aug 16 2005 03:38 PM |
I'm thinking that those snaps of Kevin Elster and Tim Burke were two consecutive shots by the same photographer on the same roll.
|
Elster88 Aug 16 2005 03:51 PM |
Check it out while you can, once seawolf changes to match the next posting level, Edgy's post will seem odd.

I'll be at Friday's game against the Nats, bringing my daughter (age 6) to her first Shea night game. We're field level down the right field line, don't have the tickets in front of me to know exactly where.
|
cooby Aug 18 2005 04:52 PM |

We're not going Saturday night... my wife gets too tired at night now to hike that far, and it's just too much of a hassle to schlep him all the way in there by myself. He's too hyper; he'd spend the whole time going nuts. If we had a big, calm dog, then I'd do it; but he'd be jumping all over the place.
|
cooby Aug 18 2005 04:58 PM |
Have you told him yet?

ScarletKnight41 Aug 18 2005 05:14 PM |
FanFest is nice - it has a big inflatable slide, batting cages, a dunk tank (with a volunteer clad in the shirt of the opposing team du jour), and all sorts of other activities. Plus, if your little one is a member of the Mets Fan Club for Kids (something I recommend highly - it's a well spent $25. They get all sorts of goodies, plus every time they come to Shea they get a free gift just by showing their ID cards!), it's where she can choose her free gift of the night. It's definitely worth checking out.

I've got decent seats tonight, in the second section of field seats behind the Mets' dugout. I bought them when the Mets were 2.5 out of the wildcard (and climbing), anticipating a huge crowd. I imagine I'll be able to sit anywhere I want tonight. But I'm still going to have fun and four or five hotdogs/sausages.
|
sharpie Sep 22 2005 08:54 AM |
You can still bring food in. I think it has to be in clear bags though or something.

i prefer getting twice the meat for half the price at a deli on the way to the game.

That's a lot of meat.

So, anyone buy their tix for October 2nd yet, which could be Piazza's last game as a Met?
|
G-Fafif Sep 23 2005 02:51 AM |
|
FAFIF will be all hands on deck for this historic occasion. Of course we were there for Todd Zeile's and Joe Hietpas' last game as Mets, too. Day game after a night game. Think Willie will start Castro?
|
Elster88 Sep 29 2005 05:08 PM |
Going to Mike Piazza Appreciation Day to get myself a hat and about ten $2 hot dogs.
