I think I'm going to call a close to the Schaefer voting for this year, due to overwhelming apathy. Since the move from ezBoard, we seem to only have three or four regular voters.

If somebody else decides to create the threads, and if the voting picks up, I'll be happy to use my magic spreadsheet to resume the tallying. But, failing that, we can probably just go ahead and grant a truncated 2005 award to Cliff Floyd.

I would vote more if I had the option of awarding fewer than ten points when the play is bad. I cannot bring myself to give a guy 6 points just because he got a single.

No threads exist yet for the final Philles game, or the first two with the Yankees.

At the old place, we were getting 10 to 15 votes per game. Now it's only 3 to 5. I don't know why there's been such a dropoff, but clearly there has. I'd be okay with allowing fewer than 10 points if it brought more participation. I've always adhered to the rule, but never was a strong backer of it.

Just pretend that losses are worth 5 points, then double it. How easy is that?

I hate to see the Schaeffer polls die. I try to vote in all of them, but I've been on the road quite a bit recently. I hope to get caught up on the games I missed this evening.
