Just looking around, I found this: I thought this was funny, for me. But I never awarded the prizes or crowned a champion! I will format this post, then go check who won. Let's Go SHaMs! Looking back, the SHaMs really sucked ass. Record (they wound up playing only 68, not 69 games) 26-42 (.382) Ouch! Worse than the most pessimistic guess (and winner of this category, Norrin Radd) Overall SHaM Division standings: Florida 42-25 Atlanta 40-29 Montreal 34-34 Philly 34-36 SHaMs 26-42 What place will we finish in? The answer was last. 4-way tie: Koonce, Radd, Goodwin, Yancy Winningest SHaM? Trachsel in a runaway with 8 wins Winners: 5-way tie -- Wide, Gold Glove, Yancy, Archie, marathon Most SHaM Saves? David Weathers edges Mike Stanton 6-5 We had no winners; HotCorner, Archer & LF split 2nd place Home Runs 2-way tie between Tony Clark and Jason Phillips - 6 each (Wiggington 5, Reyes 4, Floyd 3) Archie Goodwin with the Clark call! RBI Jason Phillips edges Wigginton 36-30 No winner but Archie & Gold Glove tie for 2nd. Batting Average This is hard to figure precisely from available info, but let's give it Jose Reyes, whose average between July 13 (end of the Mets season) and the end of the SHaM seasson jumped from 250 to 307. Phillips 312 to 298 would prolly have been next. metsmarathon wins!!!! SHaMVP Phillips (6-36 ~290ish) prolly wins this; but you could also make a case for Reyes (4 HR, ~300 average).
