On Sportscenter, when asked who was going to win the NL wild card, Gammons hesitantly said he would stick with his original choice, which was the Marlins. However, he said the team that scares him the most is the Mets because of their "youth" and "energy". Peter Gammons is a guru and has never been wrong. He also basically said Looper sucked. Although he didn't say that, it was my interpretation......, still he is never wrong.

Well, I don't know if he's always right, but let's hope he's right this time. Of course, not about the Marlins winning, but about the Mets being scary.

You have to understand Beenso - you might be the first Crane Pooler to ever say anything nice about Gammons. The rest of us aren't sure how to react to that <g>

That's not true. I've come around on Gammo. I used to like him, then I thought he jumped the shark, now that I'm old I kinda like him again.

I like Gammons, certainly he knows the game, what's really cool about him is that he admited to not knowing how things would work when Bobby V started his ESPN gig a few years ago and to then admit that he throughly enjoyed it.

Peter the Great, on BB tonight says Wright will be the best position player in Mets history--- here's hoping Beenso's (and Gammons) are correct in their prognostication.

Sorry Beenso, I've got nothing against Gammons, I've just seen so much criticism of him on the internet that I assumed you were being sarcastic. Now if you said that about McCarver, I would KNOW you were being sarcastic.
