Heading Off to College in DC This Week

Valadius
Aug 22 2005 12:55 PM

I'll be living in Washington, DC, for the next four years, as I'll be starting college at George Washington University at the end of this week. I'm moving into my dorm on August 27th.

P.S. Looks like Edgy and I will now form a DC contingent.

Congratulations on being a Colonial! Bring lots of t-shirts and shorts 'cause it's wicked hot there.

Got my Masters from GWU B-School.

As my best friend's dad told him when he dropped him off on that first day of college:

"Try everything in moderation, and don't mix up my grandkids."

Best of luck Valadius! Don't desert us!

(and thanks again for the Trot Nixon tip....)

My sister is starting her senior year.

She's off limits.

With Elster's sister? Not cool, Scarlet.

I meant in college.

No way Valadius scores with Elster's sister - why would a female senior ever be looking at a freshman boy?

Good luck. I received my BA from GW. I had a great experience there.

Don't be nervous - you're going to love college life!

Have a GREAT trip down to DC :)

Don't be nervous. In a couple of weeks you'll have two papers due, an exam to study for, a lab to attend, two-hundred pages to read and a raging hangover all on the same day. Then you can be nervous. You'll probably want to be watching the Mets game too.

Seriously, good luck. College is stressful but fun and DC is great place to be in as a student.

He won't have a hangover, if he is a freshman he is too young to drink!

Geez, Willets.

You'll do great, Valadius! :)

You're a mother so you can chose to believe that if you like. :)

Welcome to town, Valadius.

I think there's plenty of peeps around here to tell you what to seek out and to avoid in Foggy Bottom.

I've moved in and just set up my internet connection.

I always try to stay away from foggy bottoms whether I'm in DC or not.
