First time Lo Duca actually gets to face his old Metmates.

TheOldMole
Aug 29 2008 05:26 PM

So it looks like the Volstad Act does not mean Prohibition of the Mets.

TransMonk
Aug 29 2008 06:22 PM

Where is everyone?

Is the bow helping Perez? His second leadoff walk in a row to start the 4th. The last one gave the Fish the lead on a sac fly. 2-1 Sticks.

Not at the game for sure, that place is empty.

LoDuca on first having a big chat with Delgado.

Yeah, how did that 18 games work out there for ya, Captain Roid Ass!

KC
Aug 29 2008 06:45 PM

Someone who roots for Cap'n Jeter and roots for a team with Giambi on it
shouldn't invoke 'roids.

Top of the sixth, Delgado up ... need runs NOW!!!

seawolf17
Aug 29 2008 06:46 PM

It was fun to write "Cap'n Intangibles" and "Slappy" into my scorebook Tuesday night.

Quick, boring game. Wake up, Mets.

TransMonk
Aug 29 2008 06:49 PM

A ten-pitch inning for Volstad thanks to our sleepy offense.

Meanwhile, Perez is nearing 100. This one is gonna come down to our bullpen.

AG/DC
Aug 29 2008 06:51 PM

Not a fan of those bullpens.

I have no ill will towards LoDuca.

AG/DC
Aug 29 2008 06:54 PM

Wright's spending a lot of time on his butt.

TheOldMole
Aug 29 2008 07:11 PM

Bases F.O.M., Castillo up.

bmfc1
Aug 29 2008 07:11 PM

C'mon Paulie, jump up and down.

TheOldMole
Aug 29 2008 07:12 PM

Castillo not much help. At least no DP.

TheOldMole
Aug 29 2008 07:15 PM

I hate it when they strand three.

bmfc1
Aug 29 2008 07:16 PM

Geezus, c'mon David.

TheOldMole
Aug 29 2008 07:17 PM

Seawolf -- one thing about a quick game is that you get to Giuseppe Franco that much quicker.

seawolf17
Aug 29 2008 07:17 PM

[yankeefan] You know, this fuckin' guy never, ever gets a hit in a clutch spot. Every single one of his 100 RBI this season? In 12-1 blowouts. They should just cut him. [/yankeefan]

Mole: I hate it when they strand three>>>

Ya, twice ... the force out at home and Wright's K. Ug.

Stokes on to shut down the smelly fish sticks.

TransMonk
Aug 29 2008 07:18 PM

This team sucks big hairy donkey dick tonight. The off day must have really taken a toll on the offense.

All I could hear in my head after Wright got to 2 strikes was Keith's voice saying "...and David is just an excellent 2 strike hitter."

The Marlins announcers are douchebags. NL East TV crews really suck outside of SNY.

Rockin' Doc
Aug 29 2008 07:37 PM

The Mets can't keep stranding baserunners. Evans needs to come through here.

Rockin' Doc
Aug 29 2008 07:38 PM

Evans again gets burned without getting a chance to swing the bat. Endy needs to come through here.

Rockin' Doc
Aug 29 2008 07:39 PM

Damn it!

TransMonk
Aug 29 2008 07:39 PM

3 RISP stranded in the 7th and 8th.

I gotta bad feeling about this one.

bmfc1
Aug 29 2008 07:40 PM

I have more confidence in Evans than in Endy.

Obviously, I underestimated the offensive futility of the Mets offense.

KC
Aug 29 2008 07:41 PM

Wright's left five on base, Church at least three or four.

Enough to drive ya nuts.

Gwreck
Aug 29 2008 07:48 PM

9th inning. We need 1.

LET'S

themetfairy
Aug 29 2008 07:48 PM

GO

TheOldMole
Aug 29 2008 07:49 PM

Nothing inspires the Met bullpen like not having a lead to protect.

TheOldMole
Aug 29 2008 07:50 PM

Rico Brogna! Does that mean I'm a good fit?

Gwreck
Aug 29 2008 07:52 PM

METS!

Still alive on a Castillo single.

NOW THAT'S IMPRESSIVE!

TransMonk
Aug 29 2008 08:02 PM

Better late than never, I suppose.

I never guessed that after 8 horrible innings this team could produce a ninth like that. Twice this week that the offense has come back after looking dead.

SteveJRogers
Aug 29 2008 08:02 PM

Three outs to go

Methead
Aug 29 2008 08:02 PM

Awesome!

Although if they blow this save I might cry.

John Cougar Lunchbucket
Aug 29 2008 08:13 PM

Eh?

John Cougar Lunchbucket
Aug 29 2008 08:15 PM

John Cougar Lunchbucket

30 pitches...

Luis Castillo set that shit up.
