Impending hurricaine Gustav (sounds like a Commie to me!) is forcing an evacuation of the area and made Friday's game the final one of their season, 3 days earlier than planned. They're not headed to any playoffs.
And could this have also been the final one as a NYM affiliate?
So, as of Sept 1, any or all of them are free to be called up as reinforcements.
Spreaking of which, Jonathan Niese was pulled in the 3rd inning of a scoreless game Friday (and just 65 pitches) - making his un-named status as Tuesday's starter in Milwaukee even more likely.
