War of the Worlds YouTube Video

I already posted this on the YouTube thread in the NBF, but I decided to post it here as well. I created this video in order to promote the David Sarnoff Library's celebration of the 70th anniversary of Orson Welles' historic War of the Worlds radio broadcast. I was floored that thereminist Kip Rosser composed and performed music specifically for this project.

My one cat doesn't thank you for that music, but we enjoyed the video...good luck with your project :)

My apologies to your cat - I can see how theramin music wouldn't appeal to felines.

It appeals to me though, I've listened to it three times, lol...

Kip Rosser is amazing - I'm still stunned that he composed original music for the project.

The not-quite-accurate part (although believed accurate at the time) was about Theremin being perhaps kidnapped and mysteriously whisked back to the USSR. We now know that he actually was a KGB agent, and that he left America hurriedly because of pressing debts.

Today is the War of the Worlds celebration. The afternoon show was a great success, and a little later I'll head back for the evening performance and dessert reception. Watching the re-enactment of a radio play is fascinating in its own right. Watching this one near Grover's Mill, New Jersey and hearing so many local sites mentioned in the radioplay is a unique experience, to say the least.
