You could be more honest and admit that the magic number thread is nothing more than a pretext for you to voice your general disdain for me. Or you could continue to rationalize your earlier dumb posts about noting and celebrating. Believe me, this is not about magic numbers. It's about you dislike me with maybe a little bit of you can say that my post is dumb but I can't say that your post is dumb or dumber right back at you sprinkled in. I'm truly disappointed at the state of things here - I regret having to write this post - but I don't believe that any of my posts are inappropriate.

No, I find you annoying because you'll post eight foolish posts in a row and pollute any number of threads. It may give you comfort to think the problem is with me, but it's your own idiocy that makes you annoying. I don't know enough about you to dislike you. But I do know that you're annoying. Feel free to post eight responses to this. This is the ideal forum in which to contain your idiocy.

Gee, I don't know how I missed your last post yesterday. It looks like you broke your own record for rudest post addressed to me. For the record, I never resorted to name-calling here. I disagree about thread polluting. I remember very well the two threads you're referring to. Two threads. That's two. In one thread, I made a few jokes in response to a stupid, lightweight, hack newspaper article about how all of the Mets then problems were supposed to be solved by Wright's assumption of the team leader position, a role Wright was reluctantly refusing according to the piece. It was a stupid article, I thought. Nothing ails the Mets more than a three run homer. And I responded with sarcasm -- not irreverent off-topic idiotic humor. I thought I addressed the article head on, but humorously. There's more than one way to skin a cat. You were the only poster that might've been bothered by any of my posts in that thread. It was a long rambling thread in which the forum then tried to identify the Mets pictured in a wire photo of their 1969 Ed Sullivan appearance. You yourself identified half the Mets as Jerry Grote in that picture. The thread then addressed whether Henderson deserved more contempt than Bonilla in 1999. Rogers entered, and proceeded to muddle up what remained of that thread beyond recognition to the point where a reader could hardly figure out whether Rogers was for or against whatever he was writing about. In the end, as is sometimes the case here, half the forum was ganging up on ol' Jeets, most of it good natured, some perhaps not. I stopped posting in that thread pages and pages before it finally ended. There was another thread where I made a series of admittedly off-topic off the wall jokes. I didn't like the thread, and opined to myself that the thread premise took itself a bit too seriously. My irreverent posts were my way of addressing the issue. Again, you were the only poster to be openly uptight about any of my posts. Others clearly enjoyed my posts. Of course, in the end, many other jokes were posted on that thread in addition to mine, all indistinguishable in tone and taste from my posts. I resigned myself then to wait for my CPF joke permit to arrive in the mail before I ever dared to joke on the forum again. That was also a joke. Get it? I was joking because I couldn't logically understand why I would be singled out. This stuff happens every so often with you. Yesterday merely marked the first time I finally confronted you about it. Perhaps once upon a time, a long time ago, I might've innocently miscalculated your tolerance for humor, without meaning anything by it.
