NL Wildcard

If the Mets and Phillies make the playoffs doesn't that mean that the Cubs would have to play one of NL East teams? It's more fun playing the Dodgers or Diamondbacks in the first round instead of the Brewers. Especially the Dodgers. And then the Sabathia/Sheets combo doesn't get involved. I'll take it.

The Brewers and Phillies have a key four game series in Philadelphia starting this Thursday. Even if playing LA is more attractive, I'm still rooting for the Brewers.

Ya know, if Florida sweeps Philly they can still make the playoffs. Especially with the Milwaukee bandwagon hurtling off a cliff.

The Marlins have almost quitely won 9 straight and the fact that they had/have their end of the year games against the Astros, Phillies and (gulp) Mets means that they have the ability to control their own fate to a certain extent.
They're currently 5 games off our division lead and 4.5 out of the WC (tied w/Houston - 2.5 behind Milwaukee)

That said, they're still our bestest buddies for the next two days.
