Yeah why not , at least he might give the illusion of having a threat of the bench. Has he done any "baseball activity" recently?(pissing on his hands doesn't count)

El Duque gambled to avoid a lengthy rehab delay that would come from having his injury treated with surgery and lost. I'm pretty sure Alou's DL time has expired and he can pretty much roll out of bed and hit.
