Congrats, Brewers

Way to rally back from a collapse. Collapses suck. I hope you ride your comically fat players as far as they'll take you.

I read that C.C. will start every game , he'll be gone after the season so why the heck not.

Fuck you Brewers.

Fuck you, Milwaukee Brewers. Your inability to take even one of the four games at Philadelphia provided the impetus for the entire "collapse" by allowing Philly to gain ground when any loss could have buried them and put the Wild Card into play when you should have been sewing it up. You fucked up everything. Your players are fat assholes and so are your fans.

If that Philly/Brewers series turned out any differently we'd still be just as out of it.

Oh they're playing Philly? I want to change my answer to:
|
Benjamin Grimm Sep 29 2008 09:32 AM |
Yeah, I have to root for the Brewers to beat the Phillies.
|

Yes. Go Brewers, and Go Cubs Go. I don't want to see Mother Torresa advancing any further than he already has.

I don't mind the Cubs winning. Get rid of all of that 20th Century "curse" shit. Red Sox and White Sox have won, let the Cubs win this year and move on.
|

Yeah, I know I can't quantify this, but the Mets' struggles began when they heard footsteps, and they might never have heard them had the Brewers kept Philly down.

My primary motivation now is to see the Phillies get beat, again. After that I don't care much.

Stuck in Brewer land today. I've been good about getting congratulations out early...and honestly I've been better about being a gracious loser than I thought I would be.

Since I live in the Philadelphia market, my main interest in the post-season is to see the Phillies expire as soon as possible.

I don't see why all you guys hate the Phillies so much. They beat us fair and square two years straight, they did it with a mainly homegrown roster, they're not impetuous dillweeds like the Marlins and their fans have suffered every bit as much as we have over the years. I would have loved to have stuck it to them but we didn't. They won. They're better.

The Mets fate was in their hands every day except the second to last one. I can't hold anybody accountable not on the Mets payroll.

Screw the Brew Crew.

Benjamin Grimm Sep 29 2008 09:56 AM |
I don't hate the Phillies. And I never hated the Braves either.

Like BG, I live among them. To be fair, most of the ones I interact with have been pleasant. But it would still be nice to shut them the hell up.

Jimmy Rollins is a bollox pure and simple , I will root for him to fail .....if it wasn't for him I might like them a little.

26 years is long enough to wait. Congratulations Brewers fans.

A friend of mine insists that, in sports, you must root for teams from your conference/division in the playoffs. His rationale is that if they win, that means their conference/division is the best, and your team, consequently, is from the best conference (and therefore less sad than all the other non-champs).

I want the Phillies to win just so that these lost division races won't have been in vain.

Huh?
