too many runs; not enough doubles.

Yeah, to carry over from the last thread, doubles are what you want more of from your singles hitters, not your power hitters.

I think maybe we could stand to be less awesome in triples, thereby improving our shameful double showing.

Improving the run prevention, particularly in the late innings, would probably help the team win more games.

129 GiDPs vs a NL avg of 124
a difference which is pretty much a non-factor IMO, especially when you consider that a higher BA/lower K team (like us) is likely to be a bit higher just from more opportunities and more balls in play.
