How do you feel about the black-canned cola?

Gross. But better than diet.

Never had it, but I'm intrigued. Someone compare it to regular (which is delicious) and diet (which tastes like wallpaper paste and leaves me wanting to rinse my mouth out because of the aftertaste)?

My favorite beverage is Coke Classic, but I gave it up years ago because of calories.

I've been pretty successful getting off the (non-beer) carbonated beverages. I still have a craving for them now and then.

I rarely drink soda.

Soup - try the Snapple half and half. Arizona sells something similar called the Arnold Palmer. It's half iced tea and half lemonade. That's the nectar of the Gods...

I really haven't been able to distinguish between Coke Zero and Diet Coke. I'm really into the Diet Coke with lime now.

Like Soupcan and Lunchbucket, don't drink carbonated soft drinks. Beer is another story, as is Snapple.

I haven't had beer in probably 20 years. Never liked the stuff.

Yep. Coke Zero, Diet Pepsi, Diet Mountain Dew. The wife loves Coke Zero. So I also buy Diet Pepsi, which I like, since she won't drink those. At dinner I switch to a non-caffinated diet soda. Diet 7Up, Fresca, some diet orange soda sometimes. I drink 4-5 sodas a day.

The Nectar of the Gods is Starbucks' Skinny Vanilla Latte. Hands down.

I'm gonna have to try a Coke Zero just so I can have an opinion. Is that a Diet drink? Sugarless? I was a Coca-Colaholic my whole life until I stopped drinking regular sodas because of the calories. As a kid, I probably drank about a gallon of Coke a day. I drink Diet Pepsi these days; diet-wise, I prefer Pepsi over Coke.

Well, I answered my own question. I googled Coke Zero - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca-Cola_Zero -; it's a Diet drink, though purposely not in name, and it's supposed to be closer in taste to Classic Coke than Diet Coke.

I liked it. I think. I had a few cans over the weekend and half of a 1.5 liter plastic bottle. Coke Zero is closer to Classic Coke in my mouth, more so than the other Diet Coke variations. In my mouth is the operative word because going down my throat, there is an odd aftertaste --noticeable, yet tolerable. But the more Coke Zero I drank, the less obvious was this aftertaste. Overall, I'll vote that I kinda like it. This is just a hunch my part, but I'd guess that anyone who has not yet crossed over to Diet sodas, probably won't like Coke Zero, even if the company's claim that it's close enough to Classic Coke is reasonably accurate. In my own experience, I had to get used to whatever Diet soda I ended up drinking regularly. They all seem to taste inferior to the non-diet sodas. I purposely compromise taste for other supposed advantages when I drink a Diet Soda. But that's only my experience.
