Pat DiNizio - Disc Jockey

This might not be of much help to those who reside all that far beyond the borders of Nassau County but Pat DiNizio, head man of the Smithereens, will be guest DJ tonight on the radio station which operates out of Nassau Comm College.

The hook is that the show he'll be co-hosting is the station's regular Beatles oriented show and the Smithereens are in the midst of launching their 2nd Beatles album; B-Sides the Beatles where they cover a bunch of mostly early, lesser-hit Beatles tunes.

It's a good show normally as host, Rob Leonard, knows his stuff and mixes things up enough to keep it from being a CBS-FM style greatest hits repetition. And so a show with DiNizio as co-pilot for 3 houts should be interesting. They'll obviously spin a bunch of tunes from the new album as well as their earlier Beatle effort 'Meet the Smithereens' and other Smithereens stuff. But the idea is also to have DiNizio play DJ with whatever he wants and probably come armed with a guitar for some live music as well.
