(14) Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Don't forget that Matthew Broderick is a Mets fan. We're not sure about the loyalties of Roger Rabbit.

In with a vote for Ferris.

Made throwback jerseys look cool long before they became a fad.

I wasn't in high school in the '80's so Ferris Bueller didn't do it for me. On the other hand, I kind of hated Roger Rabbit. Pass.

More important is that Ferris was a Cub fan and, while Roger was set in pre-Mets days, Benny the Cab was a Brooklyn Dodger fan. I went Roger.

I love both of these films. It was a close call, but I went for Roger Rabbit, just because it was so creative. Plus it had one of the best lines ever -

I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.

Close call.

I went with "Buehler, Buehler" because i can always watch it. Despite the artistry of ROGER RABBIT, i find it increasingly tedious with repeated viewings.

I'm completely with Siskel on "Ferris' -- I was in high school then and didn't think that picture rung true with me even a little. There was too much cheap slapstick, and while it pretended to be a movie about helping a friend gain self-respect it was really a showcase for a blemish-free high school kid doing things that weren't all that fun. I identified with Cameron and probably would have hit Ferris with an axe in the face. That said, a few good lines.

Roger Rabbit was insanely creative and had a spectacular opening but IMO was not all that satisfying either. One thing was I didn't really like seeing some cartoon characters come out of the worlds in which I'd always known them -- like Bugs, etc., and this was the start of all that.

Hmmm

I can't believe this is that close - Ferris is the Walrus.

Roger Rabitt sucked. No offense to whoever nominated it

I chose Roger Rabbit, partly due to one of my favorite lines:

Eddie (to penguin waiter): Scotch on the rocks. And I mean ice!

But mostly because of an anti-Ferris mood I'm in. Perhaps it's due to over-exposure (thanks, Ted Turner), but I no longer enjoy watching it anymore.

And what's up with the cast?

Matthew Broderick kills a family in Ireland, Ben Stein devolves from a genial Nixon apologist to a rabid anti-evolutionist, and Jeffrey Jones, well, ick. Plus, Mia Sara has never loved me he way I once loved her.

Not the biggest Beuler fan but Mia Sara can drink my milkshake.

In fact she might get some milkshake in her hair if she ain't careful...

Excellent points by Coleman. Jennifer Gray also skidded off the pavement, when she went in for rhinoplasty --- an insult to Baby's fans everywhere --- and destoyed her career and nearly her face with it.

Ferris [u:7y0hcfsi]Bueller[/u:7y0hcfsi] deservers about 10% of the replay it gets. Seeing cartoons walking around on city streets was pretty cool. I get choked up every time I see that shoe die.

You forgot that Cameron also killed Kirk, and blasted a big hole in the Enterprise-B

Kirk Cameron? Isn't he that kid from Growing Pains who's now making Jesus movies?
