I expect Some Kind of Wonderful to hit the top ten when all is said and done.

Why are these two not seeded?

Just watch those trailers before you vote. Just watch 'em.

I'd piss on a sparkplug to vote for WarGames.

Ally Sheedy again!

War Games.

Ally Sheedy, with long hair, jogging.

If all you want is wank material, then.... gah, listen to me. Pearls before swine.

Didn't see either one.

That does seem to be how some are voting. (Or at least, commenting.)

But if that's the criteria that makes a film good, then so be it.

I'll clarify or at least dignify...

I really liked WarGames and did not care much for Some Kind of Wonderful.

Okay? Everybody feel better now?

I thought of SKOW the other day when I saw Molly Hagen in an episode of The Ghost Whisperer. I swear, I was just sitting with my wife, waiting to see Jeniffer Love Hewitt.

it's not really a criteria... just an ocasional tie-breaker.

for example, if TRADING PLACES was up against FISH CALLED WANDA, i'd vote for TRADING PLACES because, all other things being equal (both being well crafted comedies), JLCurtis gives us great boobage in that one, but in WANDA, she doesn't.

Well, if that's how they're voting and so be it, then I give you Lea Thompson in her underwear in the locker room with the blow dryer.

Give me Lea Thompson in 'All The Right Moves' and there's your tournament champ right there.

This was a tough choice for me. I went for Some Kind of Wonderful, but it's not like I'm unhappy that War Games is kicking its ass.

I liked both films well enough, but neither is a particular favorite of mine. I opted for Wonderful on the tiebreaker that if I had to sit down and watch one of them right now, that's the one I'd pop into the VCR.

Lea Thomson appears in her underwear in Howard the Duck but I would never vote for that movie.

Yeah, it's not my criterion. Talk to wanky franky up there.

Sure, but where else are you gonna get all that John Cleese ass. Am I right, ladies?

I loved both of these movies, but since I'm a geek, War Games wins

Something as arbitrary as a World Series of 1980's movies calls for a judgement system as arbitrary as deciding which lasting wank-related image I carry around in my mental wallet.

WarGames is much better; and it's still kind of a cultural touchstone. I think it introduced the movie technique of saying everyting you type into a computer.

No really, there was a big article in Wired a few months back about how the whole hacker culture grew out of this.

I enjoyed War Games, but I had to watch the trailer just to recall having seen Some Kind of Wonderful. Apparently, SKOW didn't make much of an impression upon me. I went with War Games.

WarGames goes thermonuclear, 20-4
