I went with Stone, primarily using Danny DeVito as the tiebreaker. Tom Cruise is just too irritating in this movie (and most movies for that matter). Kathleen Turner side boob v. Valerie Golina in the tub is a wash.

Stone disappointed me. Rain Man made me laugh. And Dustin Hoffman was great.

Romancing the Stone was funny & sexy. Rain Man was kind of mawkish and dull.

My brother, a huge Dustin Hoffman fan and a pretty good mimic, saw this in the theatre twice the first week it was out and then preceded to talk like Raymond/Rainman during an entire car-ride from NY to Virginia. He spoke and answered all questions either in dialog from the movie or at least in character for 5 hours straight. I'm voting for it anyway.

i preferred the porno version: "Romancing the Bone". RAIN MAN is a solid movie; BONE is a turd.

Romancing the Stone was okay, but Dustin Hoffman's performance in Rainman was phenomenal. I went with Hoffman's brilliance over Turner's hotness.
