I'm so bad at this.

I'm pretty sure I saw Terminator, but I don't think I saw Blade Runner.

I liked the original Terminator.

You weren't much of a moviegoer in the eighties, were you?

I think I just mis-voted.

I thought I was! Maybe I saw the movies that didn't make the cut. I've never really been a fan of the kinds of movies that make up the bulk of the polls.

I'll have to review the 80's on IMDB and see what movies I did actually see.

At least you don't mis-vote.

I've seen parts of each of these movies. I liked the Blade Runner parts better as at least that movie appeared to acknowledge that the audience may have a brain, whereas Terminator is eye candy for the "Huh-huh, Ahnold blows things up!" knuckledraggers crowd.

i love the first TERMINATOR. I even like the sequels (both of them!), and i'm enjoying the Fox series THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES.

But, as far as I'm concerned, BLADE RUNNER may be the single best movie made in the last 30 years.

see the BLADE RUNNER thread, for my thoughts on that topic:

I'm sorry this matchup had to occur so early in the tournament, but we've got to retire the skin job or we're all little people.

My misvote is swinging this contest so far.

I've never been able to appreciate Blade Runner's iconic status. Maybe I just haven't seen it enough times.

I did love Terminator though. It was THE perfect role for Ahnold and he nailed it.

I haven't voted yet, so tell me who you wanted to vote for and I might be able to handle it.

I mis-voted Terminator when I wanted BR.

OK, well I'll vote BR and intend it to be for Terminator.

I've seen scattered segments of Terminator through the years. I don't recall ever seeing any of Bladerunner in the past. So, like Yancey, I will respectfully abstain from voting in this contest.

I was thinking I'd be the only vote for Terminator, Blade Runner being such a cult fave and all, but I see I'm actually in the majority, unless there were a lot of mis-votes.

I went with Blade Runner. Big fan of the science fiction... and my view of Terminator is colored by mediocre sequels.

Cyborg 13, Replicant 8

with Road Warrior and Blade Runner both out of the running, i officially don't give a shit about the tournament.

Y'know, I had 3 contests of the first 32 not go the way I'd like.
