BOC is swinging through my town, playing a gig at the local theater that seats about 550. Sure I know the tunes. Plus originals Eric Bloom is still singing vocals and Buck Dharma is on lead guitar. $35 per ticket.

Stay home or Go?

I'd salute you if you were about to rock.

As a guy that has seen America, The Who, Van Halen and The Police in the past year and a half I say go.

The music still sounds great (in most cases - Van Halen I'm talking to you.) and you'll have a good time singing along and reminiscing about your high school daze.

Don't fear the $35.00 ticket price.

I could have used more cowbell.

Is it $35 before or after the TicketScalper "convenience charge"?

I said don't go but I was distracted and apparently I voted GO...

Rather than watch TV on a Wednesday night, obviously, GO.

I mean, since there won't be a Met game on.

I'd say that if you have to ask us, that probably means that you don't really want to go.

]Give Me Centrism or Give Me Death! By Chuck Klosterman ... THE TEN MOST ACCURATELY RATED ARTISTS IN ROCK HISTORY! ... 3. Blue Öyster Cult:The BÖC song everyone pays attention to is the suicide anthem “Don’t Fear the Reaper.” However, that song is stupid and doesn’t use enough cowbell. The BÖC song almost no one pays attention to is the pro-monster plod-athon “Godzilla,” and that song is spine- crushingly great. So, in the final analysis, Blue Öyster Cult is accurately rated—by accident. This happens on occasion; look at Scottie Pippen. ...

$35 seems kinda high, unless there are other decent acts on the bill. We've had Del Leppard with Billy idol, Styx with REO and so on.

I like concerts. Go and have fun.

Go. I'm thinking of going to see them at Mohegan Sun on 11/15.

Two shows that night in that Wolf Den thing I guess. They always worked
hard ...

I'm amazed how much music video there is on youtube, I don't spend as
much time there as most of you. I can see how it can get addicting ...

This is long, smoke 'em if ya got 'em ...

Haven't pulled the trigger on this one yet. $70 is a lot of cash for something like this. That's a pair of Converse!

Oh, yeah, decisions like this are definitely a downside to marriage. You've got to go with an equally daring buddy here so you can split the risk between two households. Otherwise you spend all night with the wife saying to each other, "Well do you wanna? I dunno, do you?"

If it sucks, one of you feels horribly guilty. Usually the one with the testes.

So did you fear the reaper? Or buy the sneaker?

Farmer Ted

Bought the sneaker. The Teds decided they had enough cow bell. Taking a pass on the show tonight.

Tomorrow night at the Clear Channel-controlled State Theater in Falls Church, VA. Smithereens. $20 a pop. Stay or go?

Only if they are paying you the $20 should you go.

I'd go, I think. They might do somerthing like play an entire Beatles set, and it's always possibleDiNizio has congestive heart failure.

But I'm so lame I didn't make it out to see Marshall Crenshaw play for free, in Brooklyn, the other night, so don't listen to me.
