I have seen both of these movies countless times... yet I remain indifferent to both of them. So Fmeat will go with the Fwife-esque Elizabeth Shue one more time. Cheerleading, ponytail, there you go.

I know I SHOULD like E.T., but that just never did it for me. So I'll vote for my high school classmate's film instead.

Don't care for either movie very much but I'm still pissed that Karate Kid beat the far superior Pee Wee's Big Adventure so I'm voting for ET as retribution.

Two protagonists with their develompment somewhat derailed by being raised by an over-whelmed single mom. But the lack of supervision gives them time to get into the hijinks that drive the plot.

no, once BLADE RUNNER and ROAD WARRIOR went down, my gaskets were pretty much shot. This would be a minor annoyance. Frankly, i'm more irritated by the lack of respect currently being shown for TERMINATOR.

Preferring a different film is not the same as disrespecting Arnold. I liked Terminator well enough. But I love Naked Gun.

I have to admit the first time (and probably after, even though it was explained to me), I didn't understand what the brutish sensei was saying when he looked Johnny in the eyes and said "Sweep the leg." What I heard was "Sweet to lick." Now, that really made sense when you think his sensei is supposed to be examining Johnny's bloody nose. Saying "Sweet to lick" would really inspire the horror that Johnny's face flashes: "Are you saying what I think you're saying? You want to lick my bloody nose right here? Homoerotically? In front of all these people?" Because, in my confused mind, that was the subtext I was reading. It got even more awkward when the next two lines were: Sensei: You have a problem with that? Johnny: No, Sensei. I was feeling not a little uncomfortable about the type of movie Karate Kid was turning into.

Jaden Smith is set to star in a remake of "The Karate Kid," to be produced by his daddy, Will. The long-rumored project is moving forward with a 2009 shoot date, according to Variety.
