I wonder, does your brother yet see the "hook" that comedians will use for their Obama jokes during his presidency?

They've had a good sixteen-year run, with "horny" Clinton to "dumb" Bush and "evil" Cheney. You could go back further, to "dumb" Quayle and "senile" Reagen.

I guess there can be "goofy" Biden. But Obama himself seems kind of bland. Could they do "he's so dull" jokes like they did with Gore?

Actually, I don't know if your brother thinks along those lines. I've only seen the work of his that you've posted here (and it's good, by the way) but I'm not sure that he parodies the people (again, dumb Bush and evil Cheney) as much as he does the situations and events. Editorial cartoonists don't always tap the same comedic vein as stand-up comics.

The job makes the man. He may get a heck of a honeymoon --- his endorsement portfolio from major papers is much to be envied --- but he will be easy to caricaturize soon enough.

I think the caricature is there in the cartoon where Obama is rolling up his sleeve to prepare to shovel shit. That willing eagerness exaggerated perhaps to show naivete may be the way the comics go.
