Documentary looks back on the dude who tightrope-walked between the WTC towers in 1974 -- and how he did it. And why (watch for the answer).

Crazy, exciting, inspiring, and poignant even without contemplating the unsaid mindfuck-within of the dude surviving longer than the buildings would.

I haven't watched a moment of footage of the WTC since 9/11, not ready for it or interested in it, but this was really something else.

Enjoyed it, but wasn't as excited as youse.

They use dramatizations to make up for the lack of period footage, which documentarians should always try their best to keep from resorting to.

I'd also like a little more of the cultural context --- particularly of New York at the time. It's short on news footage from that era, and from interviews with outside witnesses --- cops, security, reporters, people from the building.

The relationships among the crew are what makes this film, but we also learn little about what happened to these folks since.

I liked it. Too bad that, except from the street, there wasn't filmed footage of him crossing the WTC towers, only stills but the caper aspect of it was pretty darned cool.
