Rico

Do you know what happened to that ol' Shaun Fitzmaurice?
A Philly high school hired ex-Met DeFelice?
With a click to your left and a click to the right
You can find those old one-time Mets.
But I don't feel like someone special, I'm feeling more depressed.

My name is Rico, you've forgotten who I am...
But there's a new post if a fart leaves Jeff Tam.
And no one asks, but if they did, I'd say, "I'm fine."
Oh Rico, Rico, here comes "Good Fit" thread, oh-nine.

Saw Bogar on the beach and Boisclair on T.V.
Two... of eight hundred stars, it means so much to me!
One's a birthday clown, one sells shoes
But then no one cares what old Rico's been up to...

My name is Rico, you've forgotten who I am...
But you'd remember if my name was Jerry Cram.
And no one asks, but if they did, I'd say, "I'm fine."
Oh Rico, Rico, here comes "Good Fit" thread, oh-nine.

...awesome sax solo...

Hey now (woo!), look at that. Did Edgy really track you down?
At the end of the drive, the newsmen arrive, you make me feel
alive, alive, alive!

I'll get a glance... but it might take a DUI...
I tell you something, that thread is stinking!
I tell you something, it leads me to drinking!

My name is Rico, you don't need to understand...
Rubin, find me and do a piece on where I am.
Oh Rico, Rico more than a title of a thread.
I hope you think of me before they find me dead.

...awesome sax outtro...

Do-do-do's...

THE END.

ROGER CRAIG

What good is thinking ‘bout Anthony Young
Zambrano or Yorkis Perez
Let’s look up Roger Craig, that bum
Let’s look up Roger Craig

Shut down the Google
Crane Pool and E-Bay
Crank up UMDB
Let’s look up Roger Craig, that bum
Let’s look up Roger Craig.

Lost 24
In ‘62
Then he went 5 and 22
In ‘63
My head is spinning.

Yes Hook and Cisco
Were also real bad
That team really couldn’t play
But Craig was the worst of all, that bum
Let’s look up Roger Craig

There was a Bill James fan
Who was my neighbor
He’d talk of VORP, win shares
And all things SABR.

He wasn’t what you’d call a Roger-loather
Said with his stuff
He could’ve been a closer.

The day he moved
I’d no one left to bicker
And descended into Netflix, porn and liquor

And though Roger never plied his trade in Queens
He was the ghost that haunted all my dreams.

I think how Roger taught Mike Scott to throw the split
And how he nearly turned our Series dreams to shit
What good is blaming the ones who came next?
Rog set the mold his way
Let’s look up Roger Craig, that bum
Let’s look up Roger Craig.

And as for me
As for me…
I’ll take revenge for New York City
When I die, I’m taking Craig with me.

Start by admitting
That losses do count.
You shouldn’t rate just E-R-A!
He lost 46 games, that bum
In only two years he lost that sum
Yes, I looked up Roger Craig!

Nothing so scandalous.

As a kid I had a best friend whose parents were Broadway actors. His mom, Erica Yohn, was in Gypsy, Cabaret, Lenny and a host of others. His dad, Tom Rosqui was in Sticks and Bones, Waiting For Godot and more.

When I was 11 or so they moved to Los Angeles to try TV and movies. Experienced moderate success. Best known roles for Tom were Godfather I & II, Erica in Godfather II as well.

I just remember going to see her in Cabaret more than a few times, meeting Joel Grey, learning the songs.

That's all.

Impressive "guest-star" credit lists for both on imdb.com.

Lyrically they are on par with each other, so I will go for glam 80's rock over show tunes.

'Grats, Seo. I had a bad feeling when I saw that you were my first-round opponent.

Where the hell are the rest of you guys' songs?

Yeah, really - what's with everyone? The first round should be in full swing by now!

Congrats Seo, who is always a worthy opponent (to whom I lost in the past). And WTG Sharpie - you guys both rocked, um, Broadwayed, um, were great :)
