ChiSox continue to deal

Frayed Knot

A couple of weeks ago I speculated that Prez Obama's favorite team could be looking to get rid of some combo of Nick Swisher, Javy Vazquez, or Jermaine Dye.

Well rumor has it they're going for the hat-trick as an Ohio paper is saying that Dye will wind up in Cincy in exchange for highly-touted yet disappointing hurler Homer Bailey. The 22 y/o RH, along with the Yanx Phil Hughes, comprised hot pitching prospects #1 & 1A two winters ago but has struggled even more than Hughes since. A bit of a rock head is the word on him although Chi pitching coach Cooper has a good rep for reviving head cases and Bailey is still only 22.
Dye is 34 w/one year remaining plus a mutual option.

So it looks like the ChiSox trade machine is pretty much tapped out. It also means GM Williams has lopped a shit-load of money off next year's payroll. Wonder if he'll be diving into one or more of the big-name FAs.
