Whoa, there he is!

My wife and I just went grocery shopping at our nearby King Kullen. I saw a guy who looked a lot like Vito from The Sopranos outside having a smoke, which didn't throw me too much, considering there are lots of guys on Long Island who look like Vito from The Sopranos. Except it really was Vito from The Sopranos. He had been inside peddling his pasta sauces and various show-related bric-a-brac. Given that he seemed kinda bored and not all that overwrought from visitors as he sat at his "Meet Vito" station in the produce/appetizing section (he was up and examining the merchandise a lot), I felt compelled, as a fan of the show, to say hello and tell him we enjoyed his work. "Thanks brother," he said, before offering to sell us some of his sauce...with an autographed picture thrown in.

It's hard to say no to Vito.

I'd ask him if he'd heard from "Johnnycakes" lately.

Promise me, whatever you do, don't exploit my sauce recipe
for some quick cash when this is all over.

Let's not forget that this idiot was at several Mets playoff games in '06, -- getting on the diamondvision to boot -- and was seen doing the same shtick at Yankee Stadium. Fugheddabouit.

Eh, he was a switch hitter in the Sopranos too.

Is it just me or have all the actors in that series gotten side jobs that play off their characters from that show? I'm pretty sure I've seen Paulie Walnuts, Bobby Baccala and Johnny Sack endorsing some kind of Italian consumer products too.

Steve Van Zandt trying to parlay his role into a second career as a rock musician has to be the lamest. Dude, you're almost 60.

Paulie Walnuts (Tony Sirico) has some kind of cologne called "Paolo per Uomo" (Paul for Man) that, supposedly, allows you to smell like a gangster.

There's a 'Sopranos' brand wine; 'Nothing says family like Sopranos'

Mmmmm, always good when folks start glamorizing crime & murder.
