You gotta love Rocky Cherry. Sure he sucks ass but what a great name. He has MLB experience with the Cubs and O's as a bullpenner.

Loadenthal hit .261/.326/.291 split between AA and AAA in 306 AB between the two levels in 2008. 9:35 - The Mets pick up John Madden from San Diego’s AA roster. The 26-year old stands 6′4″ 230 lbs. He was 2-3 with a 3.88 ERA and 24 BB against 45 SO in 72 innings for the advanced-A Lake Elsinore Storm in the Cal League in ‘08.

According to Adam Rubin, O'Day, like Steve Register last year, would have to be kept on the major league roster all year for the Mets to keep him. He didn't say whether or not that applies to Rocky Cherry. (Isn't that a Ben & Jerry's flavor?)

Yes, but he'd have to be on the active roster for at least 90 days.
