You know what I always got a kick out of as a kid? The Rugrats Hanukkah Special.

Is this still sponsored by Mounds and Almond Joy?

That had to be the strongest fusion of content and product of the entire 1970s. You never saw Almond Joy commercials at any time but during Charlie Brown, but you never missed any either because they were only shown during Charlie Brown and you never missed that.

Brilliant!

My wife surprised me with a Netflix DVD of "A Charlie Brown Christmas". It's as wonderful and thoughtful as ever. It's amazing it holds up over all these years.

Those Dolly Madison snack cakes probably had enough preservatives to make them hold up for a few decades as well.

Funny, I remember York Peppermint Patties being pushed during Peanuts specials, and I thought Almond Joy and Mounds were Hershey's. Turns out they were Peter-Paul products back then. Peter-Paul, after gobbling up York, must've been still the fourth among three big players in Pennsylvania cholatiers --- always coming in after Hershey's and Nestle and M&M/Mars --- but they had that Peanuts niche solid.
