Me, I've always used "Chanukah". But what do I know?

It's rare that I use it. When I do want to write it on a Christmas, I mean, Holiday card, I always have to look it up. And the spelling I'm most likely to use is Chanukah.

I just copy and paste what's there, but yeah when I copied it today in the thread I wondered why it was not spelled with a H.

I prefer Chanukah. I just think it looks the prettiest.

But when you transliterate from Hebrew, there's no one correct spelling. The gutteral H can be represented by an H or CH, the final a at the end can be represented by A or AH, and one or two Ns in the middle is a personal choice. So mix and match however you feel like it - it's all good.

I like Chanukah, so I can write "Chappy Chanukah!"

i use "Chanukah" because i hate when people don't pronounce the "Ch" sound which i feel they don't when they spell it with just an "H" (even though i'm sure phonetically the H can be pronounced that way my experience is that the people who spell it that way are the people who mispronounce it)

נס גדול היה שמ

took me way too long to figure out the hebrew lettering.

I've always preferred Hanukkah. Maybe it's the "Happy Hanukkah" banner that my parents put up every year, I dunno.

Slowly, with plenty of second guessing.
