Naughty or nice ....

For those of you celebrating Christmas, did Santa decide that you were naughty or nice? For those of you celebrating Chanukah, what presents have you received this holiday season?

Enquiring minds want to know what is amongst you holiday booty.

I'm getting my major gift on Saturday - a facial and massage at a local spa. My hubby also bought me Yellow Submarine on DVD, and the kids got me a coffee cup heater that plugs into a USB port. It's been a pleasant Chanukah so far :)

This was my major gift to D-Dad (at his request) -

Good day for Lunchpail Jr. Still hasn't opened all his gifts, and destroyed the place anyway. He got a lot of cool stuff but is crazy about a Fisher Price toy school bus. I mean, he fucking loves it. If we only knew.

We gotz a nice new camera (Fuji finepix Z). I got 18 pairs of socks (no kidding, I needed like, 15) and a nice sweater, and Wifey & I prepared a very good dinner of duck, wild rice, carrots, beans, wine, cheese, and Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale, which I'm still drinkin', for us & the in-laws.

duck tastes like really really dry chicken/turkey, never liked it.

I've been very naughty this year, but who needs Santa and his lump of coal when Omar-Claus has given us a bullpen!

I must have been better behaved than I thought this year. I got a second Nikon N80 body so I don't have change lenses so often when i'm out and about. I received 7 books on a variety of subjects and a new watch for work.

I enjoyed a liesurely day of rest with my wife and kids as much as anything else.

I think you're thinking of rabbit. Or at least you described it. Very lean white meat but tends to be dry.

Duck oughta be very juicy dark meat, if cooked right.

never had rabbit, it isnt even a kosher animal, i guess i've just had really bad duck.

Yeah, if anything duck is too greasy, not too dry.

I get very little for Christmas. Over the years I've convinced as many people as possible that they don't need to buy me anything.

I got two books from my parents (from my Amazon.com wish list) and a couple of items from my kids from their school's holiday gift sale.

And that's it!

Must have been whatever I was in the past because the presents look the same - standard array of clothes and stuff.
One portable drill , with a holster!
AND
A DVD set of 50 (count 'em) 50!!! trashy Sci Fi movies from the 40's and 50's.
Love it.

Then again, Hanukkah continues....

Definitely nice, because not one but two people hooked me up with Mets Money for Christmas. The best gift possible.

Also this book, which looks fascinating:

We're sticking with renting for now, but if we like it, the owners are definitely willing to sell it to us.

As three or four straight offers fell through, and my landlord wanted me outoutout of my current place, there was a lot of pressure, but we grew increasingly shy about taking on a mortgage in this environment. And then that office blowup last week, and I'll be pretty glad to come in to work next week knowing I don't have worry that every time I open my mouth I could lose an investment in our --- brace yourself --- 928 square feet!

Congrats on the new house Edgy , exciting times for you I'm sure.

I got a variety of married man stuff , socks , Mets tee-shirt ,actually a Mr. Met shirt , PJ's and a very nice wallet which I actually needed.

More importantly the kid got a bunch of stuff after only last month getting a bunch of stuff for his birthday. In future we are going to do something about that , way too many toys for one boy.

Anyway here he is with what me and my wife got him.

My wife got me a piece of Shea -- I am now the proud owner of an officially licensed authenticated hologram-logoed brick, which I will display in my baseball card room.

Congrats to both Edgy and Seawolf!!! Very cool!

I got a new blue sports jacket, which I needed in the worst way. And my sister got me two Mets oranments, a Mets t-shirt and a cool little Mets rug. (She know how hard it is to find Mets stuff out here!)
