In for two and a half days again starting tomorrow. I know so many people
who parlayed this season into a twelve day or so break.

We'll be at about 25% this week ... ah the lovely lack of yap awaits me.

Same sked. I also intend to adjust my regular level or effort down by 50%, if only to give myself something to grow on in the new year.

I will be working three days. Not one of your biggest Christmas fans, I will be anxious to get back.

Hoping for a similar lack of yap at my office, but I prolly won't be so lucky.

Day care is closed, so I'm home. It's catch-up time for the office -- closed to the public, but open to employees -- so it's all clerical work, all the time. No thanks.

D-Dad is working a couple of days and taking a couple off. He's expecting it to be quiet at the office.

On a record pace, but he'll get injured in July and it will cost him a chance for the record.

I go back to work tomorrow at 8 AM. I work Tues day and until 1 PM on Wdnesday. I have Thursday off, then work Friday.

My partners on vacation (skiing in the Rockies somewhere) so that leaves me to man the fort. It shouold be a hoppin' place with the college kids still out on break.

My company initially dangled this Friday as a "carrot" off-day, given to those in the division that performed most above their plan in the quarter. But since all our divisions are getting killed they canceled the competition and gave everyone the day off. True story! Go New New Economy!

Might as well just do half-assed work, come in, and slack off like everyone else. And the best of the sad-sack divisions gets an off day anyhow.

I'm here every day but Thursday.

Buy a newspaper. Any newspaper. Please.

I buy two every day. And I plan to keep buying them until it's no longer possible.

Even almost a decade into the 21st Century, I still think nothing beats a newspaper.

I'm working Mon-Fri, 12-hour days, like a sucker. I shoulda been home nursing this cold and sipping bourbon instead, but I couldn't say no to the sweet OT.
