Spider-Man Reboot

As the newspaper version of Spider-Man catches up with the goings-on in the comics, we see that Peter and Mary Jane are no longer married. They've been placed in a universe where they, in fact, never were married.

As this wedding took place ceremonially at Shea, I can't help but associate the reboot with the death of Shea. As Shea is disassembled, history will gradually be re-programmed to erase it's necessity from existence. Pope John Paul I will survive and reign for a dozen years, but never come to the US. The Beatles will break up in Hamburg. The AFL will fail financially before the first snap.

Finally, we'll wake up one morning to find out that Walter O'Malley and Horace Stoneham cut deals with Robert Moses and Robert Wagner, stayed in New York, and the Mets never were.

The 1964 Worlds Fair? Held in Brisbane.

Would we all be Doger fans or Giants fans?

Seaver would have been an Indian or a Phillie.

Yikes.

Stan Lee, letting down true believers for the sake of still being on Marvel's payroll as an ambassador.

nullus excelsior Stan!

Turns out it may just be Stan Lee doing "Untold Tales" rather than current continuity
