My insane wifey ordered this pick as a tribute to its fallen titular co-star, but the real show was watching everybody in the cast trying to out-ham each other. AskRogers.com question: Is there a reason that Khan's crew are all Nordics?

She's not insane - this has been considered the best of all the Trek films by most. I think First Contact supersedes it slightly, bymmv. One of the best things about this movie is the scenery chewing contest between Shatner and Montalban

Well, I sort of said the same thing. Of course, she's not insane. Except the marrying-me part of things, she's been perfectly rational.

Will your new bride be rational when baseball season starts? I like this Star Trek movie , funny that I don't like Star Wars but I do like Star trek.

It's not funny at all - Star Trek and Star Wars are as different as they are similar. The best Star Trek has always been thought-provoking, while holding a mirror up to ourselves. It's definitely more cerebral than Star Wars...

I haven't seen it since it was in the theaters. I remember liking it a lot more than the first movie, which was dreadful. I'm not big on Star Wars or Star Trek. I used to enjoy the original series in its reruns on Channel 11, but I've never even seen any of the subsequent series. I know who Captain Picard is, but I don't think I could name a single other character who wasn't in Captain Kirk's crew.
