The Red Sox put their single game tickets on sale today and I scored a single seat to see the Mets at Fenway on May 24.

So, when do the Mets start selling tickets for single games at Citifield? Anyone heard any rumors?

Nice pull. We got shut out for any of the games in the on-sale. Are planning on taking in two of the games once we find the tix.

Mets single-game will go on sale on some Sunday in March but it hasn't been announced yet.

I did a search and found some non-licensed site, I forget which, selling single game Mets tickets. I assume they are from package/season ticket holders selling off seats for games they could not attend.

They looked legit to me, anyway.

I think the plan is and has been to sell as many season ticket and plan packs
as possible ... I also think they thought the whole season and stadium would
be sold out that way originally and that got stung by the state of the economy.

Part of me also thinks they don't want to print the tickets until they know the
actual name of the stadium on opening day ... but I think too much.

In recent years, singles have gone on sale later and later, and never before mid-Feb. But I am charmed by the notion that 3 million tickets with a technically nonexistent location could be printed.

Come to think of it, I wonder how many people have to check their tickets to know where a ballgame is. It would be kind of Metsian to play home games in Cleveland and, when faced with complaints, tell fans, "It was right there on the ticket."

Saw a game there in 2004. It's a beautiful park.

I attended the first interleague Mets-Orioles games there in 1997. I agree that it's a beautiful park and nicely integrated into the city. All these retro-parks that sit in parking lots kind of miss the point. BTW, the Orioles fans were among the most obnoxious and downright mean that I've encountered as a traveling fan (although they seemed to be conflating the Mets fans with Yankees fans).

I know that I'm in the minority, but I don't love Camden Yards. I give it credit for being the first of the new breed retro parks, but I think that some of the subsequent parks (Jacobs Field, Turner Field, Coors Field, PNC) are much nicer.
