Help me remember

I am thinking of a game that Matt Franco won in our last at-bat where he hit a shallow pop fly that fell in driving home the winning run. I think it was against Houston. Franco rounded first, causing Bagwell (like I said, I think it's Houston, if it's not, it obviously wasn't Bagwell) to remark something along the lines of "You hit the shit out of that one." Our hero smiled and yelled back emphatically "I'll take it!"

Can't find the game though. I thought it was in 2000 but a scan of the boxscores on UMDB was unsuccessful.

Anyone remember anything along these lines?

You don't need no friggin' Mets Walkoffs guy when you've got librarians around!

Thanks. It's just a matter of finding the right search terms.

Awesome. Thanks metfairy.

Matt Franco, for what he was, certainly had his share of big hits. Everyone remembers the single off Mariano, but I remember him beating Pedro once with a HR.

Allen St. John in The Village Voice once said Franco was even starting to look like Rusty Staub. I thought that was a great description.

Like all bench players he eventually reached a point where he couldn't do what he did the year before, but it sucked to see him in Atlanta.

I attended that game. Took my wife (girlfriend at the time) and this was her first ever trip to Shea Stadium. We sat field level up the right field line and it was a comfortable night game. Good times.
