Lloyd McClendon was fired today as manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates, having suffered four straight losing seasons and on the verge of a fifth.

Wonder how Kris Benson feels about this... oh, wait: Kris Benson recently said, "Maybe he'll finally be fired before that," referring to McClendon and this series. This could be some bulletin board material or a prelude to a beaning. It could also be a prelude to an actual dismissal of McClendon, I don’t know.

I doubt anyone could have done much better with his Pirates. I hope this dont sound racist, but its nice to see african american managers being treated equally.......hehe. I should NOT have said that. Wheres my erasure?
