It was an imperfect film but it featured some incredible acting. Anne Hathaway should have won the Best Actress Oscar for her performance here.

Agree, imperfect but interesting film. I thought Bill Irwin was also outstanding.

My problem with it is the same as my admiration for it: It wasn't much of a movie without all the musicians ... and yet, the guests had to be a focal point because without them, we're not really in this crowd to begin with ... yet making all the guests musicians was calculated and evil ... yet it was entertaining to have done that ...

I didn't think the movie was great, but Anne was pretty damn good. Rosemarie Dewitt did a good job with her character, too.
