Yup. Reminds me that to take the train to a White Sox game you get off at Sox/35th

I've read the article twice now and am trying to figure out if there is any acrimony between the Mets and the MTA on this , because if there was any on the part of the MTA I'm thinking that if they wanted to they could have excluded Mets from the name.

"Across town, the Yankees will also open a new stadium, but they are keeping the old name. Mr. Soffin said that the names of the 161st Street/Yankee Stadium stations on the B, D and No. 4 lines would not change.

To put "Citi Field" on the subway signs, the MTA wanted some of the money that was being paid for the name of the stadium. Hence asking the Mets for it. Makes perfect sense to me.

I can't imagine why the Mets would pay money to put Citi's name on the sign, when they can get their own name on the sign for free.
|

Well, exactly. And that's what the article said.

Also, the Metro North Station (Yankees/153) that the MFYs are getting is new, so needen't be re-named, just named.

"Something A-Rodoccurred and it reflects A-Rodpoorly on the Mets and everything A-Rodthey do, while the Yankees are all-around championsA-RodA-RodA-RodA-Rod."
