Holy bejeezus. That's a tough day for the D-II Thorobreds, who are coached by Lamar Johnson, who may or may not be the ex-major leaguer of the same name. But really, if you throw out the nine errors they made (!!), it's not all that bad. Offensively, they held their own, with a run and eight hits in five innings.

Classy move by EKU to downplay the triumph on their website. They also pulled all their starters after one inning and played "station-to-station" ball for the entire game.
