Injuns plate 14 in the second, lead MFY by a dozen after two full.

Wang lasted 1 1/3 and saw his ERA rise from 28.00

I like to see FOX send someone into the stands with a mike and ask one of those in the front rows what a $2,500.00 per/game ticket tastes like.

The Westchester crowd should be leaving before Swisher pitches..What a waste

Meanwhile, the Marlins scored three in the 9th to tie it - getting the tying runs on a 2-out, 2R HR from Jeremy Hermida - and then 3 in the 11th to win it on a 3R HR by Jeremy Hermida

20-2 in the Bronx.

20-2 ... 5th inning isn't over yet.

Only Derek Jeter can save them now.

Holy crap! I popped in a concert video and did stuff around the house.
20-2 in the sixth? Can I hear 25? 25? Can anyone give us 30? 30?

The announcers must have been priceless through this, although it
would be more fun to listen to Kay get spanked for 20.

I hope this drags into race time. There are suits chewing their nails worrying
about NASCAR ad revenue.

I'm rooting for everyone to get on base, and for that ump that just took one
off the noggin'.

Now, now. Don't lump a whole county into whatever you're trying to paint.

I know you're all glued to your tv's, but I have to say it's funny how they
painfully try to make this still a Yankee game despite them being down by
two touchdowns and a safety.

Gotta love it - T. McCarver

I'm feeling pity for the Yankees. Somebody beat the Hell out of me.

Twenty-one to four now.

The 14-run second is the worst inning in Yankee history.

Plenty of good seats suddenly available.

Edgy DC

Yup. 22-4. Bases loaded with one out in the ninth.

Edgy DC

And Hafner flies out to the wall. Melky tossed the ball into the crowd and Sterling called it a grand slam.

It's 22-4, brace yourself for the greatest comeback ever, featuring a 19-run homer by Derek Jeter.

Finnie Freaking Chulk comes on for Cleveland.

Here's hoping that this record for most lopsided loss in YS3 history doesn't stand for long

Great stuff on how Cano works on BP type stuff in AB's like this (in
a laugher) ... what a gamer, workin' hard in the face of defeat.

What we really need tomorrow is for some anti-heymanesque to tell us
who don't understand that Jeter and Damon are probably somehow con-
tractually obligated to stay in the dugout during a drubbing and it's not
because they're classy and don't want to drink beer and play donkey
kong (and I don't mean the ol' school video game) in the clubhouse but
that FOX requires face time from the two ugly mugs.

That's the game.

I listened for two innings and heard Suzyn Waldman once. What's she being paid for?

I never thought I'd be saying these words, but I'm sorry that the game wasn't broadcast on the YES Network.

The Yankee faithful in the rich section got a bargain of $110 for each Indians run.

John Cougar Lunchbucket

It was a national broadcast, even better.

MFS62

I listened to the last two innings while driving home from work.
Suzyn Waldmann sounded so depressed I thought Sterling was going to have to talk her down off a ledge.
And if I had been there, I'd have been putting Duct tape over Sterling's mouth.

Essentially to read ads as Sterling does ALL the play-by-play -- every inning, every game.
But because the games are "billboarded" from before the first pitch until they sign off (sure all teams do it too - but not to the extent of MFY games) someone's got to read one of the tie-ins approximately every 9 seconds or so and that someone is Suzyn.

Plus if the games get boring John has someone with whom he can discuss Broadway musicals.

And in non-blowout games: the Pads scored 4 times off Brad Lidge in the 9th (3 on a Kevin Kouzmanoff HR) to beat the Phils 8-5.
As you may have heard, Lidge hadn't blown a save since just after the cooling of the earth (actually Sept 2007) but has also been dancing close to the edge so far this season and now sports an ERA near 10
[7 ER, 9 hits, 3 HRs, 3 BBs in 6.2 IPs]
