I guess Carl Pavano can pitch at Yankee Stadium after all. Indians 3-1, end of six.

The problem wasn't that he couldn't pitch at Yankee Stadium (or whatever variation of "He can't handle NY or big pressure" you want to use), the problem was he was often injuried, and usually with some maladay that most fans think players should play through.

Is that what the problem was? Thanks. Now I can toss all those old copies of the Daily News I've been meaning to read since 2005.

No need for the sarcasim. Thought you just didn't follow the on going saga of Carl Pavano's time in MFY Land.

Right. And my post was referring to what, Pavano's inability to navigate the New York subway system?

According to Ken Singleton Jeter willed the ball off the top of the wall, three fans' hands and the rightfielder's glove, and provided his fellow true Yankee Posada with a two run homer.

That was the right call on the HR. Yeah the fans interfered with it (and, like J. Maier, they didn't catch it either) but it was over the top of the fence and the umps can't call that a "shoulda" catch for the OFer. It was also made more complicated by the fact that the new joint doesn't have the walkway in front of the front row like the old place.

Phillies were about to lose to the Pads again when Raul Ibanez hit a 2R walk-off in the 9th (Heath Bell had a the day off).
