It strikes me

It strikes me that, with the destruction of Shea Stadium, and all the good karma that went with it, the site of the Yankees final championship went also.

The MFY's probably wouldn't admit to that , the ghosts and all that moved across the street...it's the kind of BS they are selling. The Montreal Canadians haven't won a damn thing since they moved out of the Montreal Forum but they still like to try and sell the idea that the ghosts et al moved with them, the NHL tries to peddle that BS too.

I wish the MFY's a similar fate in their new home.

Ditto with the Celtics...well until they finally won the championship last year.

I'm sure the Lakers do the same thing in terms of their history at the Forum, despite now sharing the Staples Center with the lowly Clippers.

Heh. Come to think of it, Dodger Stadium, site of the 1978 clincher, is the only site of a Yankee World Series clincher still in operation as a baseball stadium.

The Chargers are still using the Murph (1998) for the time being, and the 49ners are still using Candlestick (1962), also for the time being, and of course RMFY still, for the most part, stands.

Watch your mouth, Rogers.
