I almost feel like Will Rogers, in that any school that would tenure me is one I'd rather not work at...

but it does feel pretty great. It's been a long haul, but a fun one too...

Nice. We're due when we reach the seven-year mark, but I got effed by bureaucracy when I jumped campuses four-plus years ago, so I have to wait.

I went up "early"-- I had worked there as a non-tenure track instructor for 6 years and they gave me no time considerations when I went on the tenure-track. This was tenure-track year four for me (we are usually up due at 6 years).

With the state of the California economy, I doubt if this will mean any more than the most minimal of raises.

Way to go!

With this economy, security's got to trump big raises, no?

Congratulations.
