Elsbury scores from second on a passed ball from Joba to Molina , it looked like he was stealing third then when Joba stood there like a dear caught in headlights he didn't stop and beat a fumbling Joba home.

Matt Lindstrom had a 3-0 lead but gave up a grand slam with 2 outs to Shane Victorino!

Wow, we're rooting for the Phils?

hard to say. i think the worst outcome of a phils/marlins serious this early would be a marlin sweep because i dont want to see the mets sitting 10 games out in a week, but whichever team takes 2 of 3 is fine

The worst outcome would be nobody gets hurt.

2R HR by Bay to dead center off Mariano w/2 outs in the 9th to tie it up !!!!
A cutter that didn't cut.

I was just about to write a lament about how the Sawx had 11 hits & 5 BBs (9 & 4 of those off Joba in the first 5-1/3 innings) but only 2 runs.
Make that 12 hits and 4 runs.

And all this was just after the Yanx had the sacks loaded w/0 outs in the top of the inning but didn't tack on.

Our waiter at the ice cream shop cost himself a buck off his tip by groaning when Bay hit the homer. No way I overtip a Yankee fan.

Look for Pedroia's stop of Jeter's would-be go-ahead single in the 10th or 11th on the hilights. What a play, and maybe only his second best of the night.
