I just gave my new home it's first mowing and all I have is a powerless jobbie. "That's good," I thought, "It's such a small plot and I could use the exercise."

Well, I feel like I did about a thousand pushups yesterday.

We skipped the self-propelled for the sake of exercise, too. We have a third acre, and it's not a grueling task. A good amount of exercise, I'd day.

Old-school pusher. I also have a wireless weedwhacker for the edges, corners, etc. That is the better workout as it never fails to fatigue my mighty forearms.

I put down old-school pusher but actually we planted clover in the backyard last year so there's no need to mow. I hope to never mow again.

i get enough exercise already. my mower has pow-pow-power wheels to make it go! there's a slopey bit that i'm happy to have it for.

how is the clover as a yard, anyways? it does strike me as very tempting...

His name is Clinton Walker, a true gentleman who does a very nice job on the lawn. I am grateful for the opportunity to support small businessmen in my area, and readily acknowledge the sloth this whole thing implies.

Mr. Walker (we are rather formal with each other) comes by every other Friday morning until all the leaves are down, at which time he bags them, collects his early holiday gift, and heads off into the sunset. Well, it's probably around 10 AM when he's done, but you get the idea.

I'd rather wrestle a bear that smells like David Wells than mow the lawn. If not for Mr. Walker and his fellow tradesmen the whole yard would either be a wheat field or a shuffleboard court by now.

I gave my mower to my son-in-law.
Now I pay someone to do it.
But before I did, I used a gas mower with power wheels.

We use a lawn service. There's just too much going on around here to devote time to mowing.

Norman mows on Fridays. He cleans the gutters, too, and shovels the snow and salts the paths in winter.

everybody ought to have a Norman.

I love the clover. It looks nice and also feels nice on bare feet. It grows to a certain height and stays there so no need to mow.

Snapper riding mower. I have a small power mower for some of the trim work that the rider just can't get too.

Sounds like my "5,000 foot" theory.
If it looks green to someone in a plane flying at an altitude of 5,000 over my house, its ok for me.

I dream of having a lawn one day.

None, our goats eat it

Want to get rid of the goats? Sprinkle the lawn with some chunks of Lebanon Baloney.

I'll have you know that after Mets Easter Eggs, lebanon baloney is a goat's favorite meal.

I have a 16-year-old son. last year was the first where he could do the entire job, starting the mower and everything. It was something I had been looking forward to since the day he was born.

OK, who checked "a long scythe"?

I push, I mow. Good exercise, that I look forward to. Same reason I shovel my own snow, no snow blower here.

My neighbor downstairs likes to mow the lawn. Who am I too complain?

I'm carefully planning the events surrounding my first heart attack, and it ain't gonna happen mowing the lawn on a hot day.

Somehow that comment works real well when accompanied by a Warren Zevon image.
