No Reyes? They have an online lineup posted three hours before gametime?
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 15 2009 07:12 PM |
Reed at first, Cora leading off. I can see Jerry's wheels turning here.
metirish May 15 2009 07:16 PM |
Just saw something that I have rarely if ever seen...an appeal at third that worked.....
metirish May 15 2009 08:09 PM |
I'm really liking how SNY do there little look back into history with old baseball film, just did a Willie Mays song montage, very cool.
themetfairy May 15 2009 08:34 PM |
I'm not loving Livan.
Ashie62 May 15 2009 08:36 PM |
Livan is playing chuck & duck
Swan Swan H May 15 2009 08:37 PM |
I thought he was getting out of this with two runs, but Aurilia makes it 4-1.

Ya got me..didn't even know Figgy was up..I'm old and confused
MFS62 May 15 2009 09:01 PM |
Look at the bright side. At least they're not going to waste a good pitching performance against Lincecum.
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 15 2009 09:02 PM |
Cora thinks he's Reyes. Castillo thinks he's Cora.
Swan Swan H May 15 2009 09:03 PM |
Fortunately, Beltran thinks he's Beltran.
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 15 2009 09:07 PM |
Sheffield thinks he's Bruce Boisclair. Now Wright has to think he's Beltran.
Swan Swan H May 15 2009 09:08 PM |
Too much thinking. This ain't chess. See the ball, hit the ball.
Swan Swan H May 15 2009 09:09 PM |
And David thinks he's the statue of Stan Musial.
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 15 2009 09:09 PM |
Oh, he did, only Beltran v. Wainwright Beltran.
Fman99 May 15 2009 09:14 PM |
Gonna try and get past the 3rd inning tonight. The score isn't helping though.

Lincecum's at 102 after 6. Last inning helped. Redemption time for Heilman II.

Fman99 May 15 2009 09:57 PM |
I miss the other Shawn Green, hat flying off, tapir ears, couldn't hit worth a lick. At least he didn't get pasted time and again from the pitchers' mound.
metirish May 15 2009 10:00 PM |
Green is just a bit rubbish isn't he?
Fman99 May 15 2009 10:00 PM |
Oh Sean Green, go back to the Pacific Northwest and rid us of your incompetent boobery.
LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr May 15 2009 10:02 PM |

We're already in NoCal. Can't they ditch him at the airport? ("Hey, Sean-- isn't that an inherited runner over at Terminal B?")

Fman99 May 15 2009 10:56 PM |
Great AB by Wright who fouled off several pitches before a clean single up the middle. First and second, no out, Church up.

Edgy DC May 15 2009 10:57 PM |
Hi, Jerry, the usual?
Fman99 May 15 2009 10:58 PM |
I don't like the bunt there. Plus Church doesn't drop a good one, a break that the Giants make a bad play on defense and hand the Mets the lead.
LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr May 15 2009 10:59 PM |
I like this Wilson kid. Can we take him home?
Edgy DC May 15 2009 10:59 PM |
Brian Wilson. Not showing the poise.
Fman99 May 15 2009 11:00 PM |
I don't want Santos or Tatis bunting. Leave that to pitchers and guys who are unlikely to hit a ball into the gap.
Elster88 May 15 2009 11:00 PM |
Maybe the Mets can win despite Manuel.

The fake to 3rd, fake to 1st move is utterly stupid. Just pitch.
Fman99 May 15 2009 11:03 PM |
Omir with the nice bozac fly and insurance run and now it's 8-6. Frankie throwing in the pen and I've got a warm feeling in my loins.
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 15 2009 11:04 PM |
I got no problem with the idea of bunting the go-ahead run to 3rd with no out in the 9th inning.
Elster88 May 15 2009 11:04 PM |
What the. When was this. I only missed an inning or so.
Edgy DC May 15 2009 11:04 PM |
Wow. Sandy looking to go 3-0.
John Cougar Lunchbucket May 15 2009 11:05 PM |

I think he was tossed during a commercial break after Beltran whiffed vs. Affeldt.
Fman99 May 15 2009 11:06 PM |
Actually it happened during a commercial break after a 3rd out. The SNY crew mentioned it when they came back.
Edgy DC May 15 2009 11:06 PM |
Is Wilson wearing a mohawk??
Elster88 May 15 2009 11:06 PM Edited 1 time(s), most recently on May 15 2009 11:07 PM |
I think he's been thrown out more than Willie ever was with less than a year on the job, not even the time he got thrown out as the bench coach. The FAN callers will like that.
Swan Swan H May 15 2009 11:06 PM |

One of my most satisfying wins as a fan. Mets overcame a deficit with a makeshift lineup against a Cy Young pitcher, a questionable starter of their own and showed some balls.
