Fernando Nieve will take Putz' spot. We should try and field an all-Fernando Team. Also, lefty Pat Misch claimed on waivers from the Giants and assigned to AAA Buffalo.

The Astros were the first ones all over Venz - inking (among others) Johan, Bobby Abreu, Richard Hidalgo. So they get this guy as a teen, he spends parts of 8 seasons with them - plus probably more in Vz leagues - and he gets claimed off waivers having never reached their big club. He has a good arm but Houston needed him to pitch well in spring training, but he didn't, and failed to make the club. He was out of options, and the Mets grabbed him. He had Tommy John in 2007.
