The return of Ryan Church. Be nice if we got last year's early guy back.
Gotta save ourselves from losing two series in a row to lower teams.

Shit, I've been posting on CPF for the last 1/2 hour and didn't even realize there was a game going on. Always need to adjust to the idea of having a game on at a normal hour. (It's just gone after 9pm here).

I chose today to stay home.

Well get out there! They might even let you in for free since it"s so late>

I don't know if I'm surprised that Livan has been one of or better pitchers.

We need a game like this. Oh yeah, and more runs!

Murphy handles the 3-6-3 nicely.

Jerry, for all his buntiness, almost never uses the squeeze, does he?

This is too long for the seventh inning stretch so it'll just stretch the whole
seventh inning.

Battalos de los Tamborines with some homage to Rush, Aerosmith and Zep

Nice 2-out tack-on run.
This was beginning to look like one of last year's games (or last week's) where we score early and then try to sit on the lead for 2-1/2 hours.
If it wasn't for Livan walking the ledge a bit in some of these innings this game would be much more of a nail-biter.

This is what kills me about the buntiness, precisely. Trade an out for a base, but not for a run? Mrs. Manuel, what kind of values did you teach your son?

And here's the other Jerry thing that angries up my crazies: up 6 runs playing lefty-righty matchups.

I was gonna say the same thing, but laid off.

You guys need to relax and do a quietly pensive analysis a la Jerry in a
post game interview and get in touch with your inner chill.

Or something.

Q: Jerry, do you think you're using these relievers too frequently?
Do I use my reliveers too much? Heh-heh-heh-heh. I would hope. I would HOPE ... that my relievers are ready no matter what the situation calls for. Heh-heh-heh. Next question...

Mets win! It's a little bittersweet after last night, but it was a must win and
it was won with no real bumps in the road so freakin' yay.

Also, nobody lost an eye, or developed sepsis in a deep hangnail, or anything.

Missed the CPFers but had a great time at Nats Park today. Enjoyed a Mets win, seats in the shade, cool brews and good company. All is well.

Back from attending all three games this weekend. To be honest, these were not the most scintillating games that I have ever attended but after going to "The Omir Santos Game", I'm not complaining. What I missed was the sense that we were at "Shea South." Not that there weren't a lot of Mets fans, but the only game that was close was Friday's and there were only about 10,000 fans in attendance and even fewer by the time the Mets took the lead in the 10th. I love it when the place sounds like we're in the majority and it makes the sleepy Nats fans wake up and boo. That didn't happen this weekend.
