Brutal

Starting tonight, we are about to start the most brutal stretch of the schedule.

Over the next few weeks we see:

Tampa Bay (3 games)
St. Louis (4 games)
MFY's (3 games)
Milwaukee (3 games)
Pittsburgh (1 makeup game)
Philadelphia (3 games)
Dodgers (3 games)

Twenty games total before finishing up the first half against Cincy.
How many do they win? How many can you live with?

I'm not concerned with wins/losses necessarily, more the overall outlook at the end of the half. They're three back in the division, 1.5 back in the wild card. I just don't want to be in fourth place come July 16. But considering the Braves' schedule is worse than ours, and the Phillies are hurting too... I think this is the time to make a little run.

I think they'll win 8. I'll be satisfied with 10, delighted with 12.

Which is terrific, since the Mets have only won 5 of their last 15.

Realistic:
Tampa Bay (1/3 games)
St. Louis (2/4 games)
MFY's (1/3 games)
Milwaukee (2/3 games)
Pittsburgh (1/1 makeup game)
Philadelphia (2/3 games)
Dodgers (2/3 games)

hope:
Tampa Bay (3/3 games)
St. Louis (4/4 games)
MFY's (3/3 games)
Milwaukee (3/3 games)
Pittsburgh (1/1 makeup game)
Philadelphia (3/3 games)
Dodgers (3/3 games)

I think going close to 500 through mid next week would be great. Then it'll all depend on reyes/maine/perez & the other dl'ers

I'll predict 12-8.

I can live with anything because this is baseball and baseball can't kill you. Unless the ball itself hits you in the head, but I don't plan to be in the park for any of these games.

I predict 19-1. I mean, we need to go on a run sooner or later and this is around the time Jerry's Kids did it last year too.

They're starting a 10-game winning streak tonight --- with or without Wily Mo Peña. That much is sure.

And just like when you predicted a 0-10 road trip or worse, you're totally not kidding.

No Willy Mo, but Evans is up and F-Mart is down.

I don't worry about the schedule. Yes the Rays are hot and we know what the Dodgers did to us last time, but we could have very easily won each of the last three series and a few guys are due to bust out.

I'm Yahoo Serious, brutha. Just not tellin ya which game they will lose.

Really, we can less afford to go 0-20 (or worse) now, and I do believe this team has a good stretch in it, it may as well come now. Nineteen and one!

I say we get a couple of people back and put up a very respectable 12-8

I think they'll go 11-9 and we'll all be cool with that.

That is what I would predict as well. Anything 15-5 or better is cause for immense celebration.

Now if they can only win the next 18 in a row...

Starting to look like 4-16 with a 7/31 salary dump

If we can pull this game out it'll be 5-5 over the first ten and will have made up ground in the east. I can live with that easily.
