Well, SHIT, Kase. You're fired.
Edgy DC Jun 26 2009 12:42 PM |
Three-game sweep.
Kong76 Jun 26 2009 01:18 PM |
I'm breaking out the Roger Clemens Thought it was the Ball Curse.
Fman99 Jun 26 2009 01:21 PM |
Kase, don't suppress your inner Fman. Let it out, you'll live a fuller and happier life.
Frayed Knot Jun 26 2009 01:57 PM |
Sheff returns, Church gets to roam CF but gets moved down vs the LHP, and Evans gets the nod over Murphy for the same reason
Swan Swan H Jun 26 2009 01:58 PM |
Keep the ball down, Pelf.
Gwreck Jun 26 2009 03:06 PM |
Cap'n Intangibles SS
Kong76 Jun 26 2009 04:20 PM |
Slappy 3B, funny.

Cap'n Intangibles has been scratched.
Kong76 Jun 26 2009 04:37 PM |
I just caught the end of a Kevin B interview with Castillo (I find it hard to
duan Jun 26 2009 05:12 PM |
how long for the delay?
Gwreck Jun 26 2009 05:38 PM |
First pitch expected at 8:00.
metirish Jun 26 2009 06:33 PM |
This is a fucking train wreck...three errors in the inning , one purely comical from Evans
Benjamin Grimm Jun 26 2009 06:34 PM |
Time to turn the TV off in disgust.
Frayed Knot Jun 26 2009 06:39 PM |
This is a new twist, everyone except Castillo makes an error.
Gwreck Jun 26 2009 06:40 PM |
There's a reason Billy Joel is not allowed in the IGTs, and this is it.
Kong76 Jun 26 2009 06:41 PM |
Well, between Yankees dinks and dunks (you know them), and crap ass play
metirish Jun 26 2009 06:45 PM |
Ron said some of the funniest shit I have heard in a while form a color guy, he had the audacity(of no hope?) to remark on the play that the umps called the infield fly rule on that if Castillo was smart he could have dropped the ball and turned two....in that inning with that player against that team.....I laughed out loud...
Frayed Knot Jun 26 2009 06:46 PM |
The 1st base ump has called more strikes in the bottom half of innings tonight than the home plate ump has called in the top halves so far.

Careful - don't say anything bad about the Mets or Willets will get angry!
Frayed Knot Jun 26 2009 06:51 PM |
I have this fear of backup Yanqui catchers -- they're all like .210 hitters but somehow manage to hit around .460 when I'm watching.
Kong76 Jun 26 2009 07:08 PM |

Gwreck Jun 26 2009 07:11 PM |
Pelfrey finally with a 1-2-3 inning.
metirish Jun 26 2009 07:19 PM |
Sorry Hojo but I ain't buying that
Kong76 Jun 26 2009 07:24 PM |
CC with a perfecto through four.
Kong76 Jun 26 2009 07:29 PM |
Sheff says perfercto this.
Kong76 Jun 26 2009 07:31 PM |
And for everyone worried about homers at Citi, the old man just hit another
Nymr83 Jun 26 2009 07:38 PM |
Reyes will hit in a big spot for pelf
Nymr83 Jun 26 2009 07:39 PM |
overmatched.
Gwreck Jun 26 2009 07:42 PM |
I would've been fine with using Livan Hernandez there.
Swan Swan H Jun 26 2009 07:42 PM |
Horrible choice. Got to send up a better hitter, lefty or not, in a situation like that.
Edgy DC Jun 26 2009 07:47 PM |
Sabathia just made as bad an effort running that ball out as you're likely to see.
Ashie62 Jun 26 2009 07:48 PM |
Another day..another...oh well..overmatched by C.C. Rider

I just don't understand "unacceptable."
soupcan Jun 26 2009 07:56 PM |
It's called frustration.
metirish Jun 26 2009 07:57 PM |
Only thing missing there is Benny Hill with the grounds crew
Swan Swan H Jun 26 2009 07:59 PM |
Good thing I have the NHL Draft to flip over to.
Nymr83 Jun 26 2009 08:01 PM |
why is CC allowed to delay the game ten minutes to bitch about the mound? what if the Mets' pitchers like it the way it was? are we going to wait to change it back and forth every inning?
Edgy DC Jun 26 2009 08:06 PM |
I lioove that idea.
Fman99 Jun 26 2009 08:07 PM |
Seriously. As the tying run, that's the first guy off the bench? Pathetic. Send a lefty up for Chrissakes.
Fman99 Jun 26 2009 08:09 PM |
Ugh. Bush league defense + Jerry unwisely leaving Misch in for another inning = nausea.
Edgy DC Jun 26 2009 08:10 PM |
Which one --- Martinez, Murphy, Reed, or Schneider? Mental error by Tatis.
Fman99 Jun 26 2009 08:11 PM |
Swan Swan H Jun 26 2009 08:13 PM |
Murphy. Just because there are two out you don't give up on the inning. I'd use my best hitter there. A double brings in two and makes it a different game.
Fman99 Jun 26 2009 08:13 PM |
Murphy or Reed, really. I don't have a problem saving Fartinez to PH as a leadoff guy, and saving Schneider as the backup catcher. But Reed and Murphy have more ABs in the pros and just all around better game. Muffie has hit lefties in his career. If it's me that's who I send up.
Nymr83 Jun 26 2009 08:14 PM |
Dessens is on the roster?
Fman99 Jun 26 2009 08:14 PM |
Elmer gets the fly and Castillo uses both hands to catch the pop fly. And grinning the whole time.
Edgy DC Jun 26 2009 08:15 PM |
I like the infield fly rule playing second.
Swan Swan H Jun 26 2009 08:16 PM |
Elmer keeps pitching like this he has a chance to stick.
Kong76 Jun 26 2009 08:16 PM |
Seventh inning stretch!
Fman99 Jun 26 2009 08:16 PM |
Elmer Dessens, have yerself some beer. Nice pop up inducement with the based juiced.
Edgy DC Jun 26 2009 08:17 PM |
Two hands, baby.
Edgy DC Jun 26 2009 08:20 PM |
About time the Mets have had an Elmer.
Fman99 Jun 26 2009 08:25 PM |
CC wears the baggiest uniform. Looks like he's in his jammies up there.
Gwreck Jun 26 2009 08:27 PM |
He's 6-7 and probably 330 lbs. How much do you think he'd have to weight to actually fill out that uniform?
Fman99 Jun 26 2009 08:27 PM |
Are you fucking serious? Brett Gardner?
Gwreck Jun 26 2009 08:28 PM |
On that home run, Gary Cohen just referred to the right field corner as "Utley's Corner."
Fman99 Jun 26 2009 08:28 PM |
He looks like an understuffed sausage out there. Too much casing.
Fman99 Jun 26 2009 08:30 PM |
A-Rod with the HR now that the lead is padded. Good stuff right there.
Frayed Knot Jun 26 2009 08:31 PM |
Elmer descends
Fman99 Jun 26 2009 08:32 PM |
Kate Hudson in attendance, laughing and having fun watching her boy toy hit meaningless homers.
Frayed Knot Jun 26 2009 08:34 PM |
There was a "study" on some fantasy site that listed the HRs that weren't at Citi that would have been at Shea (a bunch including 6 for Wright). And there were two HRs that would NOT have been at Shea but were at CF - both by Chase Utley.
PiggiesTomatoes Jun 26 2009 08:37 PM |
Not going to say I didn't appreciate his talent back in the day but was Michael Jackson ever the president. So much coverage. Oy vey!
Fman99 Jun 26 2009 08:39 PM |
Elmer, give me back that beer.
Gwreck Jun 26 2009 08:40 PM |
Yeah, Gary talked about that. And I knew what he was referring to. It doesn't make the call any more acceptable.
bmfc1 Jun 26 2009 08:42 PM |
Here it is:
PiggiesTomatoes Jun 26 2009 08:42 PM |
Not a bad third baseman and the best SS on the MFYs.
Edgy DC Jun 26 2009 08:52 PM |
Gwreck's on an acceptability roll.
PiggiesTomatoes Jun 26 2009 08:54 PM |
Somebody needs to get buzzed.
Frayed Knot Jun 26 2009 09:03 PM |
No way do the Yanx dominate a game like this without Jeter
Fman99 Jun 26 2009 09:07 PM |
I need a(nother) drink.
Frayed Knot Jun 26 2009 09:11 PM |
Because he's used to pitching at Yanqui Stadium where everything is perfect all the time.
Kong76 Jun 27 2009 07:08 AM |
Resolved that I not start IGT's for the next ten days.

Edgy DC Jun 27 2009 07:14 AM |
